Analyst / Associate: Equity Research, North American Banks

The North American Banks Research team covers 40+ stocks across the US and Canada with over $4 trillion in market capitalization, including US large- and mid-cap banks, Canadian banks, and M&A boutiques. The team is looking for someone with intellectual curiosity and the aptitude to ramp quickly in a fast-evolving banking sector, undergoing secular shifts tied to stablecoins and digital assets, AI, and a shifting regulatory backdrop. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience, preferably at a bank in financial reporting or on the sell-side covering banking or financial services. This role provides an opportunity to work with top-ranked analysts across all aspects of the research process-from idea generation to company meetings-and plays a critical role in financial modeling, qualitative analysis, and writing research reports. @@HD@@ Responsibilities:@@/HD@@ • Conducts analysis of company financial data, news, and other information to identify opportunities and risks related to companies, industries, or financial instruments • Attends to day-to-day sales, trading, and hedging transaction needs, responding to client inquiries, logs, and records data • Assists with the preparation of associated financial models and written reports • Perform complex financial modeling & valuation work • Write regular industry and company reports and company launch initiations from scratch • Develop databases integral to our research product • Demonstrate strong industry knowledge and business judgment • Work with Senior Analysts to develop key industry themes • Build relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companies • Participate and contribute to client meetings and events • Attend meetings and interact with key opinion leaders • Closely follow and understand market, industry and company specific activity • Seek out new, unusual sources of information • Interact regularly with clients
