About the role

Cases may involve contract fraud, employee misconduct, healthcare fraud, environmental crime, theft of government property, unauthorized computer access, and workers' compensation fraud. Investigations are conducted in accordance with the CIGIE Quality Standards for Investigations and applicable U.S. Attorney General Guidelines. Candidates with 1811 Criminal Investigator status are able to maintain their 1811 designation. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required. U.S. citizenship required. Must pass a federal background investigation and maintain a top-secret clearance. Must qualify and maintain authorization to carry firearms/weapons. Must successfully complete a regularly scheduled physical examination and maintain fitness levels required for the position. Must participate in a random drug screening process. Valid driver's license required. Regular business travel and overnight travel required.
