Position Summary
Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule three days per week in the
office. Tues-Thursday in office in Lansing, MI.In this role as a Senior COBRA Analyst, you will:
- Provide customer service support to COBRA beneficiaries, retirees, clients and internal partners to achieve positive service outcomes
- Reinstate or terminate coverage in claims/prescription processing system
- Process COBRA and retiree elections when qualified beneficiaries elect coverage
- Coordinate and update client records by processing rate changes. This includes coordinating with the COBRA Analyst to obtain client authorization, communicating with COBRA beneficiaries and updating election forms and COBRA contracts
- Apply all appropriate considerations associated with technical requirements, legislative/regulatory policies, account structure and benefit parameters in addressing COBRA matters
- Act as the liaison between clients, vendors, and the IT department defining and identifying business requirements and solutions for non-standard arrangements
- Ensure all communications with clients and/or brokers involving sensitive member data adhere to HIPAA compliance requirements
- Collaborate with business partners to understand enterprise initiatives and goals
- Design, develop, and deliver transitional training processes and procedures to smooth the transition for newly hired employees from formalized classroom training to the department's production environment, mentor junior team members
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal interaction skills which demonstrate the ability to communicate courteously and effectively with both internal and external customers; skills include listening and comprehension, constructive feedback, spelling, grammar, proofreading, and telephone communication skills.
- Experience with Word and Excel
- Data entry experience
- Strong mathematical skills
- Understands intent/end state and operates with minimal guidance to meet that intent/end state
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities
- A team player capable of operating independently when needed
- Provides accurate and timely results

Full time Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:$18.50 - $38.82This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
