How you will make an impact @@/HD@@
• Take ownership of specific areas within transactional tax, managing topics independently and ensuring high-quality delivery
• Prepare and submit a wide range of tax declarations, including WHT, CIT, VAT, deferred taxes, and other applicable filings
• Leverage your tax certification to ensure accurate and timely submission of tax returns
• Drive efficiency through the automation of VAT, WHT, and CIT processes, using AI tools and real-time S/4HANA data
• Strengthen governance by monitoring compliance, identifying anomalies, and tracking tax risks through data-driven dashboards
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of indirect tax compliance processes across Spain and Portugal
• Ensure all tax deadlines are met, maintaining accuracy and reliability in all tax-related activities
• Manage and triage the tax mailbox, providing timely responses and coordination with relevant stakeholders
• Support tax payment processes and perform regular reconciliation of tax accounts
• Assist in tax audits, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient execution
Your background
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Law, or similar, with a focus on taxation or compliance
• 5 years of experience in operational tax, including preparation of Spanish tax declarations. Knowledge of Portuguese tax declarations will be considered a plus
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements, with the ability to interpret local and international tax frameworks
• Experience with SAP (FI/CO, S/4HANA) and tax tools such as Vertex, SAP Document Compliance, or HELT; advanced Excel skills for data analysis and automation
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong coordination skills and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines
• Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, and English; TOC/OCC certification (or willingness to obtain it) and basic accounting knowledge are a plus
