About the Role
As an Associate, Corporate Finance, you will join our Strategic Finance team and play a key role in shaping financial strategy and decision-making across the business.
As the primary Finance Business Partner for our Policy & Communications organization within G&A Finance, you will provide financial leadership to senior stakeholders by driving planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and investment decision support. You will own the financial planning process for the organization, influence resource allocation decisions, and deliver actionable insights that help leaders achieve their strategic priorities.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical and financial modeling skills with a collaborative, business-oriented mindset and enjoys solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
• Serve as the primary finance business partner to senior leaders across the Policy & Communications organization, providing strategic financial guidance and decision support.
• Own the end-to-end financial planning process, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, long-range planning, headcount planning, and T&E management across approximately 15 cost centers.
• Develop and maintain robust financial models to evaluate investments, forecast performance, and support business planning and resource allocation decisions.
• Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights and executive-ready recommendations for senior leadership.
• Drive monthly financial reviews, variance analysis, and performance reporting while identifying opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy and financial discipline.
• Continuously improve financial reporting, planning processes, and analytical tools to enable greater efficiency, scalability, and decision-making.
Basic Qualifications
• 2-3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Strategy Consulting, Management Consulting, Corporate Finance, FP&A, or Strategic Finance.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of corporate finance and accounting principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and senior leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting G&A or corporate functions as a finance business partner.
• Familiarity with SQL or experience working with large datasets to perform financial analysis.
• Experience with enterprise planning platforms (Adaptive Planning, Pigment, Anaplan) and business intelligence tools (Looker, Tableau).
• Experience leveraging AI-enabled productivity tools to improve financial analysis, reporting, or planning workflows.
• Track record of improving finance processes and building scalable planning and reporting solutions in a high-growth environment.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $106,000 per year - USD $118,000 per year.
You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
