Hazardous Materials Response Team Manager

The United States Capitol Police (USCP) safeguards the Congress, Members of Congress, employees, visitors, and Congressional buildings and grounds from crime, disruption, and terrorism. We protect and secure Congress so it can fulfill its constitutional and legislative responsibilities in a safe, secure and open environment. Must be a U.S. citizen. • Must possess and maintain a valid REAL ID U.S. Driver's license. • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance. • Must successfully pass a medical evaluation which will be required annually. • Must successfully complete background investigation. • Must complete a one-year probationary period. • Must possess the following certifications accredited by the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (NBFSPQ) or the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC): Hazardous Materials Technician, Hazardous Materials Branch Officer, Hazardous Materials Safety Officer, Hazardous Materials Incident Commander. • Must possess the following certifications: ICS 100, 200, 300, 400 • Must possess and maintain one of the following at the National Registry level: Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT), Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (NRAEMT), or Paramedic (NRP).
