Why verify your email
Verifying your email confirms that the address on your account really belongs to you. It is a one-time step that protects your account from being taken over, keeps password resets and important notifications reaching you, and reduces spam and impersonation across Connecting Odds.
You can keep browsing, searching jobs and messaging while unverified. Verification only gates the features below, because they involve real-time contact with other members.
What verification unlocks
- Audio calls
Start voice calls with your connections.
- Video calls
Join and start video calls.
- Meetings & calendar
Schedule meetings and use your calendar.
- Posting
Publish posts to the feed and to groups.
How to verify
- Open the "Verify your email" card in the left sidebar, your profile, or Settings → Account and choose Verify email.
- Check your inbox (and spam folder) for the message from Connecting Odds.
- Click the button in the email, or copy the 6-digit code and enter it on the verification page. The code is valid for 30 minutes; the link for 24 hours.
Signed in with Google? Your email is already confirmed by your provider and we sync that automatically, so you should never be asked again.
