About the role

Connecting Odds is seeking a versatile Software Engineer to join our distributed engineering team. In this role, you will work across our full stack to build and scale high-performance applications. We operate in a fast-paced environment where we value clean code, architectural integrity, and the ability to solve complex technical challenges. As a mid-level engineer, you will have significant ownership over features and contribute directly to the evolution of our platform infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust server-side logic using Java and Node.js.
• Build responsive, user-centric front-end components using React and TypeScript.
• Manage and optimize relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments within Kubernetes environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to internal documentation to maintain high engineering standards.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Java and the JavaScript ecosystem (Node.js, React, and TypeScript).
• Strong command of SQL and experience working with PostgreSQL.
• Practical experience with DevOps tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment across multiple time zones.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Nice to have

• Professional experience or interest in Go (Golang).
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud-native development.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline configuration.
